With thousands of experts around the world and high-performance digital technology, ABB's team is dedicated to making measurement easy for its industrial and energy customers to let them operate more efficiently and profitably.In this position, you will be responsible for driving production improvements in the manufacturing cells of the Measurement and Analysis (PAMA) business segment in Quebec City.Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, your objective will be to help improve production tools and deliverables in order to optimize costs, quality and product delivery times while determining the pace of work phases while respecting the budgets allocated to materials.
Your responsibilities

  • Support daily operations with the objective of on-time delivery and quality targets (sales, purchasing, service, and others)
  • Schedules production according to manufacturing capacities and customer requests.
  • Update data in MRP (SAP)
  • Acts as a technical reference for his/her field of expertise in production, particularly in industrial engineering
  • Suggest improvement ideas and implement those in his/her technical field
  • Supports improvement projects in production, in conjunction with the process specialist
  • In collaboration with other manufacturing engineering and manufacturing introduction management specialists, supports and leads problem investigations and corrections
  • Define new work methods and tools in his/her technical field and train the cell's personnel

Your background
  • University studies in administration or industrial engineering or college studies with experience
  • Good understanding of oral and written English.
  • Comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of SAP (MRP/ERP).
  • Demonstrate good autonomy, a sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong oral and written communication skills
